Infusing ivWatch with Hopeful Outcomes
The DestinationCommon in all types of medical situations, intravenous therapy carries a significant risk of IV failure and the possibility of dangerous infiltration of medication into surrounding tissue. Solving a problem that infusion pumps don’t detect, medical professionals might miss, and patients may be unable to communicate, ivWatch developed a solution for continuous IV monitoring for the early detection of infiltration events. Innovating to improve patient safety and minimize harm, the company wanted to tell its story in a meaningful way.
The JourneyIn advance of their Las Vegas medical device launch event, ivWatch brought Flagship onboard to develop and produce three patient stories on an accelerated timeline. With a goal of raising brand awareness and inspiring purchase of the device – and only two weeks of preparation time – we tackled concept development, pre-production and production. Flagship hit the road to film stories in Chicago, Cincinnati, and Virginia, handling sensitive interviews with patients and their families. We combined real stories of the devastating impact of IV infiltration with hopeful outcomes made possible by ivWatch to produce, film and edit three heartwarming videos. The resulting series both explains the product benefits and conveys the company’s commitment to eliminating patient harm.
